there is bottleneck with this HDD

Terrible

Bought this to pair it with another 2TB WD Blue disk, didn't know about the SMR thing, it's totally unusable for raid, the sequential write performance when rebuilding drops to around 1-2 megabytes per second when at around 80% capacity

Poor

Good bang for buck. Suit Linux desktops or as part of a storage group. Will be the weak point for Windows 10 updates and other heavy laods on even the oldest hardware. Could do with a GiB of Cache. Entry level SSD is 9 times the cost. Much less noise than Velociraptors, just be aware these can be a bottleneck on Windows.

Poor

Too slow compared to the seagate alternative
