In terms of specs, price and age the Video SV35.6 appears to be identical to its 2TB Barracuda 7200.14 sibling. We have only seen nine user samples for the SV35.6 so far so we don't have enough data to formulate a strong opinion as yet but based on the samples we have seen, this drive appears to underperform the barracuda. Peak sequential speeds are similar but random 4k speeds lag by around 15%. It's possible that these are just statistical discrepancies that will iron themselves out as we see more samples but in the mean time we would recommend the barracuda 7200.14 over this drive. [Jan '14 HDrivePro]
